Derbyshire engineering group Carfulan is making its technology services available to UK manufacturers who have been affected by the coronavirus outbreak.
Based at Foston, The Carfulan Group specialise in the supply and servicing of multisensor metrology, 3D printing and optical measurement systems through its three companies – OGP UK, SYS Systems and VICIVISION UK.
This technology is now available at their branch in Foston for sub-contracting work to help ease the pressure on UK manufacturers. Many businesses have faced staff shortages and disruption in the supply chain due to the current outbreak. However, these businesses are being asked to urgently produce and supply medical equipment to help combat the wide-reaching effects of the virus.
Chris Fulton, managing director of the Carfulan Group, said:
“These are unprecedented times and we’re all facing up to the reality that life is going to be very different in the months ahead.
"However, we know from our experience of working with our 700-plus customers that manufacturing will rise to the challenge by applying the innovation for which the sector is renowned.
“It’s important that everyone does their bit and we hope that we can do ours by sharing the expertise of our highly qualified engineers through subcontracting services, ensuring that those faced with fulfilling orders and satisfying customer demand stand the best chance of doing so.”
